The Company

My client is one of the UK’s leading manufacturers within its field of metal based forgings. The company is well established with over 100 years experience; they are a producer to a wide variety of markets, having 3 plants in the UK, with 1000 employees. The Dronfield site is looking once again to expand due to further investment, within this globally secure organisation.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of day-to-day engineering and maintenance activities ensuring work is carried out to the highest standards and maximising machine efficiencies, working on several manufacturing processes, driven by automated machinery. The ideal candidate will come from an engineering background and should be able to work on their own initiative, be a time served engineer with a mechanical bias, but ideally multi-skilled and have automated manufacturing experience. Also, able, and willing to be involved in general mechanical work on pneumatics, hydraulics, gearboxes and other manufacturing heavy machinery. There is a huge amount of training on offer, so the successful candidate will be in line to broaden their skills considerably.
