Continuous Improvement Practitioner – Food/FMCG

Location: Pontefract

Salary: £40,000 + Pension + Health Care

Mon-Thurs 8:45-5:15 / Fri 8:45-4:14 39 hours a week.

The Company

An excellent opportunity has arisen with one of the most secure FMCG groups in the UK, a leading manufacturer, specialising in food & drinks. Benefiting from recent investment on new state of the art production lines, which will in turn aid the further expansion of this already rapidly growing organisation, which supplies to all the continents in the world.

Key Skills

  • Apprentice Trained or Degree Qualified Engineer
  • Experience in engineering field.
  • 6 sigma green belt, lean knowledge.

The Role

You will have served a minimum of a full apprenticeship or hold a degree in engineering or similar. You will oversee manufacturing processes, leading staff, ensuring H&S codes are followed and identifying problems in the production areas.

You will also be responsible for troubleshoot equipment & complete various CI tasks.

On a day to day basis you will also be responsible for setting up production schedules & budgets for projects. There is a huge amount of training on offer so the successful candidate will be in line to broaden their skills considerably.
