The Company

Based within one of the UK’s leading manufacturing groups, my client is looking to recruit an experienced Maintenance Engineer to add to their existing team in Normanton. The company has been established for over 150 years and specialises in the printing of magazines and catalogues. They are a secure organisation looking to further increase the engineering capacity due to sustained growth in the market.

The Role

You will have served a minimum of a full apprenticeship in electrical engineering and have experience working within (PPM) planned and preventative maintenance schedules, ideally having experience of packaging process machinery within a high-speed automated environment. The ideal candidate will come from an electrical engineering background and should be able to work on their own initiative, be a time-served engineer with ideally electrical bias (but have some multi-skilled knowledge) and have PPM and TPM manufacturing experience.

The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of day-to-day engineering and maintenance activities, ensuring work is carried out to the highest standards and maximising machine efficiencies. If you have worked on PLC systems and inverters, it would be advantageous. You will be able and willing to work on presses, binding machinery, gearboxes, pumps, and other process machinery. There is a huge scope and variety on offer, so the successful candidate will be in line to broaden their skills considerably.
