Salary: Β£45,000 to Β£50,000 + Pension + Benefits

Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off – Days – Panama Shift

An excellent opportunity has arisen with one of the UK’s leading privately owned manufacturers, specialising in the FMCG sector. The company have been established for over 20 years and is therefore extremely well established, supplying a variety of end users. Due to continued growth in their market share they are looking to recruit an engineer to add to the strong engineering team.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of day-to-day engineering and maintenance activities ensuring work is carried out to the highest standards and maximizing machine efficiencies. The successful candidate will come from an electrical or mechanical engineering background and should be able to work on their own initiative, be a time served engineer with either bias (but multi-skilled) and have fast moving manufacturing experience. On a day to day basis, you will.

  • Maintain high standards across the site by conducting routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and facilities, ensuring all Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) records are accurate and up to date.
  • Take ownership and accountability for assigned maintenance tasks, ensuring they are completed efficiently and to the required standards.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) faults to minimise equipment downtime.
  • Adhere to the highest standards of health and safety, quality and hygiene within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.
  • Apply technical knowledge and practical experience to install, maintain and repair production machinery and equipment.
  • Carry out Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) in accordance with established maintenance schedules and procedures.
  • Perform reactive maintenance and emergency repairs as required to maintain production continuity.
  • Identify and implement equipment improvements to enhance reliability, performance, efficiency and overall operational effectiveness.
