Salary: £36,000 to £38,600 + Call Out + Overtime + Pension + Healthcare + Bonus + Tools - Giving a potential earning of £50-£55k (inclusive of call out & overtime)

My client is one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of turnkey machinery automation solutions to a wide variety of industries.
The company has been established for over 70 years and currently employs over 12,000 people worldwide; they have become a centre of excellence within automated process machinery to the FMCG industry.
Due to further expansion within the British market, they have the need to recruit two additional field service engineers, with mechanical service and commissioning experience.
The role of Mechanical Field Service Maintenance Technician is to complete overhaul tasks on a wide range of company machinery.
A customer facing role, that is field based requiring travel to customer premises as and when required and potentially at short notice.
The role is for a mechanically minded individual, who is driven to complete necessary tasks in the quickest and most efficient manner.
The ability to build a strong working relationship with customers and Field Service Engineers will be key to success.
- Role & Responsibilities
- Maintenance and overhauling of machines.
- To have a willingness to learn new technologies and techniques.
- To be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- To be able to work with customer specific guidelines and safety instructions.
Experience and Qualifications
- Time served engineer, BTEC level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or Maintenance.
- Previous experience of the food & beverage industry as well as filling and packaging equipment preferable but not essential.
- Previous experience of field based working preferable but not essential.
- Good level of computer literacy and IT skills, and having used MS office (Outlook, Word, Excel), but also with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Excellent communication skills both written, verbal and face to face.
- Travel throughout the UK, Europe & Worldwide as required.
