The Role
You will take ownership of credit analysis across a portfolio of institutional clients, developing a deep understanding of their financial position, business models, and risk profiles. You will play a key role in supporting credit decisions and shaping risk strategy.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting detailed credit risk analysis on large institutional clients and counterparties
- Producing high-quality credit papers and recommendations for senior committees
- Assessing the impact of macroeconomic and geopolitical factors on credit exposures
- Managing and reviewing credit facilities, including new approvals and renewals
- Engaging with internal stakeholders and external clients on credit-related matters
- Contributing to the enhancement of credit risk frameworks, policies, and processes
- Supporting reporting and providing insights to senior management
Requirements
- 3+ years’ experience in credit risk analysis
- Experience within a capital markets firm, ideally with exposure to commodities or trading environments
- Strong experience analysing large institutional counterparties (e.g. corporates, financial institutions)
- Background in capital markets or commodities is highly desirable
- Strong financial analysis and credit writing skills
- Ability to present complex information clearly to senior stakeholders
- Confident communicator with experience engaging at all levels, including C-suite
- Proactive, collaborative, and intellectually curious approach
