in their search for an experienced
Senior Risk Manager
to join their London-based team, focusing on
Emerging Markets portfolios
across multiple asset classes.

This is a senior, high-impact position sitting within the
second line of defence
, responsible for safeguarding the firm\’s financial and operational integrity while helping shape a strong, forward-thinking risk culture.

The Role

The Senior Risk Manager will lead
investment risk oversight
for Emerging Markets portfolios — identifying, assessing, and escalating key risks across market, credit, liquidity, and counterparty exposures.

You\’ll collaborate closely with portfolio managers and senior leadership to ensure a strong governance framework and provide insight-driven risk analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee
  risk management
  across EM portfolios, covering market, credit, liquidity, and counterparty risks.
• Maintain and develop the firm\’s
  risk appetite, frameworks, and reporting structures
  .
• Conduct portfolio reviews and communicate key findings to senior management and committees.
• Partner with investment and product teams on
  new product risk assessments
  .
• Lead on
  board and governance reporting
  , risk presentations, and regulatory engagements.
• Drive
  process improvement and automation projects
  to enhance efficiency and data insights.
• Mentor junior colleagues and contribute to a collaborative, high-performing team culture.

Candidate Profile

• 10+ years\’ experience
  in risk management within
  asset management, investment management, or Emerging Markets
  .
• Solid understanding of
  portfolio, credit, and market risk principles
  , ideally with experience in multi-asset EM strategies.
• Master\’s degree
  in Finance, Economics, or STEM;
  CFA / FRM
  preferred.
• Comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders and translating complex risk topics into actionable advice.
• Skilled with
  Bloomberg, Excel, and risk systems
  ; Python knowledge advantageous.
