The Opportunity
Our client is a specialist commodities brokerage looking to hire a highly versatile individual to work closely with the

- Supporting market risk processes, controls and reporting .
- Analysing trading, operational and risk data to identify trends, issues and opportunities for improvement.
- Working with front, middle and back-office teams to understand processes and resolve issues.

- Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, automation and controls.
- Taking ownership of ad-hoc projects and initiatives from initial requirements through to delivery.
- Helping to ensure that operational and risk-related processes remain robust as the business develops.
What We're Looking For
We are looking for someone who is commercial, analytical and hands-on , with the ability to move comfortably between different areas of the business.
Ideally, you will have
- Experience working within a broker, commodities firm, trading house, investment bank or similar financial markets environment .
- A good understanding of how a brokerage/trading business operates .
- Experience across two or more of market risk, operations, business analysis, change or project management .
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to understand complex processes and identify practical improvements.
- Strong Excel/data analysis skills.
- Excellent communication skills and the confidence to work with stakeholders across the business.
- A proactive approach and willingness to take ownership.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities in a small, fast-moving environment.
Why This Role?
This is an opportunity to join a specialist financial markets business where you will have genuine visibility across the organisation.
Rather than being confined to one discipline, you will have the opportunity to develop a broad understanding of market risk, trading operations, business processes and change , working directly alongside a senior member of the business.
It would suit someone who enjoys variety, wants responsibility and is looking to develop their career within a specialist brokerage environment.
