We are working with a growing Capital Markets business seeking a naturally curious and commercially minded problem-solver to join their Treasury Operations function. This is not a traditional “keep the lights on” operations role. The successful individual will be someone who enjoys understanding how things work, identifying inefficiencies, investigating issues and working collaboratively with stakeholders to deliver solutions. You'll ask “why?” as often as “how?”. The role offers broad exposure across Treasury Operations, liquidity management, controls, reconciliations, systems, process improvement and business change initiatives. You'll work closely with teams across Finance, Risk, Technology and Operations, making this an excellent opportunity to broaden experience within a fast-growing Capital Markets environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Treasury Operations & Controls
- Support the day-to-day Treasury Operations function, ensuring robust controls and operational excellence.
- Monitor cash movements, liquidity positions and treasury-related activities.
- Perform oversight and validation of key treasury processes and controls.
- Investigate operational issues, breaks and exceptions, ensuring timely resolution.
- Problem Solving & Process Improvement
- Identify inefficiencies, control gaps and operational challenges across treasury processes.
- Conduct root-cause analysis and work with stakeholders to implement practical solutions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and support process optimisation.
- Identify opportunities for automation and enhanced operational efficiency.
- Systems & Change Initiatives
- Support treasury systems, banking platforms and operational applications.
- Participate in system enhancements, testing, implementations and change initiatives.
- Assess the operational impact of new business requirements and projects.
- Help ensure processes remain scalable as the business continues to grow.
- Reconciliations & Operational Oversight
- Support reconciliation processes across cash, securities and settlement accounts.
- Investigate discrepancies and work with relevant teams to resolve issues.
- Ensure high levels of data accuracy and operational integrity.
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Build strong relationships across Treasury, Finance, Risk, Technology and Operations teams.
- Act as a key point of contact for operational issues and improvement initiatives.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders at varying levels of seniority.
- Provide reporting, analysis and insights to support decision-making.
