I'm currently partnering with a well-established global financial markets business seeking an experienced Risk Manager to join its London-based team. This role is ideally suited to a technically strong market risk professional with hands-on experience of listed derivatives, options risk management and exposure monitoring within a trading, brokerage, clearing or exchange environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in assessing market and credit exposures, evaluating margin adequacy, monitoring client risk and supporting risk-related decision-making across a diverse client base.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitoring market and credit risk across futures and options portfolios
- Assessing client exposures, concentration risks and margin requirements
- Analysing options risk using Greeks and other derivative risk measures
- Supporting the ongoing development of risk frameworks, controls and reporting
- Working closely with senior stakeholders to identify and escalate emerging risks
- Contributing to risk projects and enhancements within a dynamic trading environment

- Clearing firms and FCMs
- Exchanges and clearing houses

- Commodity trading and derivatives businesses

Experience covering agricultural and soft commodity markets would be particularly valuable, including products linked to grains, oilseeds, livestock, coffee, cocoa, sugar or other agricultural derivatives. Experience in energy or metals markets is less relevant for this opportunity.
