An established investment management firm is seeking a Risk professional to support its Risk function across enterprise, operational and incident risk activities. This role offers broad exposure to risk oversight, reporting and regulatory processes within a collaborative and high-performing environment.
The Role
You will play a key role in supporting the Risk team across incident management, enterprise risk and operational risk activities, contributing to effective risk oversight, robust reporting and continuous improvement of risk frameworks and processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Incident Management
- Support the Incident Management process in line with internal policies and procedures
- Assist with incident data analysis, monitoring, tracking of actions and reporting
- Work closely with the business to ensure accurate and timely issue capture within the GRC system
- Support system updates and enhancements in collaboration with senior risk stakeholders and third-party providers
- Enterprise Risk
- Assist with the day-to-day implementation and maintenance of the Risk Management Framework and Risk Appetite Statement
- Support monitoring, tracking and reporting of Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and production of quarterly risk reports
- Provide support for the annual SOC1 review, working with external auditors and internal control owners
- Assist with risk deliverables linked to ICARA requirements
- Respond to ad hoc risk requests from internal stakeholders
- Operational Risk
- Support Risk & Control Self-Assessments (RCSAs), including risk identification, assessment, and review of control design and effectiveness
- Regulatory & Conduct Responsibilities
- Act in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements, including the FCA Senior Managers & Certification Regime
- Demonstrate behaviours aligned with the PACE framework: Pioneer, Aspire, Collaborate and Empower
Skills & Experience
- Knowledge of risk management within investment management or financial services (preferred)
- Strong MS Office skills, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Word
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to investigate anomalies in data
- Strong numeracy and analytical capability
- Clear written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build strong stakeholder relationships
- Collaborative team player with the confidence to work independently
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple deliverables under tight deadlines
