AML Analyst β Ongoing Due Diligence Remediation 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract Β£50,000 Base MAX We are supporting a highly regulated financial services organisation with the appointment of experienced AML Analysts for a 12-month customer due diligence remediation programme.
This is a project-focused position responsible for reviewing and updating customer records, completing event-driven and periodic reviews, and ensuring outstanding due diligence requirements are resolved accurately and within agreed timeframes.
Key Responsibilities Complete periodic KYC, CDD and ongoing due diligence reviews across a varied customer portfolio.
Conduct trigger-event reviews following changes to customer activity, ownership, risk profile or other relevant circumstances.
Review customer information and supporting documentation, identifying gaps or areas requiring remediation.
Undertake enhanced due diligence on higher-risk customers and complex ownership structures.
Assess source of funds and source of wealth information, investigating and challenging where necessary.
Complete sanctions, PEP and adverse media screening investigations.
Review customer risk classifications and determine whether existing ratings remain appropriate.
Produce clear, well-supported risk assessments and recommendations.
Liaise with internal stakeholders to obtain information and progress outstanding cases.
Escalate financial crime concerns, project risks and delivery blockers appropriately.
Maintain accurate case records and contribute to project reporting and management information.
Work towards agreed quality, remediation and case-completion milestones.
Experience Required Previous experience completing KYC/CDD, ongoing due diligence, trigger-event or customer remediation reviews.
Experience gained within banking or another regulated financial services environment.
A sound understanding of UK AML requirements and broader financial crime risks.
Confidence reviewing complex customer profiles and ownership structures.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to make clear, risk-based decisions.
Excellent written communication and case-documentation skills.
The ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a wider project team.
Strong organisation and attention to detail, particularly when managing a high-volume caseload.
