Role overview:
Based in London and reporting to the UK and DACH PR and Communications Manager, the PR & Communications Assistant Manager will be responsible for helping to grow eToro's presence and protect its reputation, as well as providing support to the wider PR team. They will be part of a Global PR Team of 6 and will have specific roles and responsibilities to ensure that this is not an 'admin' role. There is huge scope for progression and the goal is that the right candidate will in time take on responsibility for managing one or more PR markets in partnership with the local PR agency.
Main tasks/responsibilities:
- Provide support in a number of markets and for specific business areas, including assisting with day to day contact with local PR agencies; supporting the production of weekly, monthly and quarterly updates for the global PR evaluation; drafting and reviewing communications including press releases, market commentary, positioning statements, Q&As, briefing notes, internal news roundups etc.; working closely with the team on local or global surveys and reports.
- Press office functions, including assisting with direct media requests; progressing appropriate opportunities put forward by the PR agencies or ideas generated in-house; managing the distribution of commentary from our global network of market analysts and act as main point of contact for the local analysts in your markets; coordinating media opportunities for our analysts and spokespeople; assisting with organizing media events and media attendance at events and conferences; coordinating submissions for awards and surveys.
- Monitoring and managing eToro's reputation globally, including reviewing daily press clippings; monitoring journalists' requests; monitoring key debates and identifying story opportunities as well as potential issues; managing eToro's media center and keeping this up to date.
- Acting as a key part of the global PR team, including providing support for all markets as required; supporting coordination of PR activity between local marketing and PR teams and the central teams in Israel and London; liaising with regional managers as required; helping to promote PR successes and educate on the value of PR within eToro.
Requirements:
- 12 months plus PR experience (in-house or agency);
- Fluent English; extra languages an advantage;
- Excellent writing and verbal communication skills;
- Understanding of fintech and financial services an advantage;
- Pro-active and solutions-driven with a strong sense of responsibility.
