Job Description
- Senior Network Automation Engineer
- SC Cleared | Manchester (2-3 days per week) | Inside IR35 | Initial Contract
- Circa £600 p/d (umbrella/inside IR35)
\n This is an opportunity to help shape the future of network automation within a large-scale government environment, driving automation-first engineering practices across hybrid cloud and on-premise infrastructure. \n You'll play a key role in modernising network services, improving reliability and operational efficiency, and reducing manual effort through Infrastructure as Code and Net Dev Ops principles. \n
Responsibilities

- Design and develop network automation solutions across hybrid cloud environments \n
- Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code and Configuration as Code \n
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure delivery \n
- Automate operational and low-value manual tasks \n
- Design secure, resilient network connectivity across AWS, Azure and OCI \n
- Support and enhance network services throughout the service life cycle \n
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives and reliability engineering \n
- Work across Agile, ITIL and project delivery environments \n
- Mentor engineers and promote automation best practice across multidisciplinary teams \n \n
Essential Skills
