Details of the role:

We are looking for an experienced credit secondary trader with a background in financials. Candidates with strong AT1 or subordinated debt experience are particularly encouraged to apply.

You will trade credit secondary across financials, with a core focus on tier 2 and AT1. You will work closely with the primary platform, one of the strongest in the market, and have direct exposure to issuers and investors. The desk is on a clear growth trajectory and the incoming hire will be central to that story.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Active market-making in EUR IG financial bonds.
  • Provide two-way prices across euro financials secondary, with a core focus on tier 2 and AT1. Drive pricing quality and competitiveness as new RFQ and automation tooling comes online, improving the desk's ability to scale and respond to client flow.
  • Leverage the firm’s primary platform and deep investor network to build and maintain high-quality relationships on both sides of the market. Act as a credible point of contact for clients across the capital structure, supporting deal flow and secondary liquidity.
  • Work closely with senior management to shape the desk's commercial direction, including the expansion into USD AT1 and selective growth into GBP. Contribute to hiring decisions and help define the operating model as the business scales.

Requirements:

  • Very strong experience in EUR IG Credit trading.
  • Bachelor or above degree in Finance or related fields.
  • Be located in London, or be willing to relocate.
