We have partnered with a market leading multi-£Bn company based in Manchester to appoint their new Group Tax Director to support their continued growth journey. We are seeking a strategic and commercial Group Tax Director to lead and oversee all aspects of our global tax function. This high-profile role will be responsible for developing and implementing tax strategy, ensuring compliance, managing risk, and driving efficiency across the group’s tax affairs. The successful candidate will partner closely with senior leadership, providing insightful advice on the tax implications of business initiatives and transactions.
The ideal candidate will bring proven experience in shaping and leading group tax strategy across both UK and international operations. As Head of Tax, you will collaborate closely with the group finance team and external advisors to ensure best-in-class tax practices, supporting the wider financial wellbeing of the business. This is a hands-on role, partnering with both the tax and finance teams to help drive the company’s continued growth.
Demonstrating capability of managing tax matters across international regions: ex. (APAC, EMEA, North America etc..) With a minimum of 10 years’ experience in tax management.
- Tax knowledge: Proven experience and strong technical skills across UK and international direct tax, with strong awareness and understanding of broader indirect and employment tax matters.
- Team Leadership & Development: Support the tax function, mentoring and guiding the tax team in their development and ensure alignment with the company's goals.
- Trained & qualified accountant: ACA/ACCA and/or CTA.
