We have partnered with a market leading, high growth International business based in London, to appoint their new Senior Financial Accountant to support their continued expansion and transformation. Reporting into the Head of Accounting, this is a critical position responsible for delivering a smooth and timely year-end process and acting as the primary point of contact for audits in the business. You will take ownership of statutory accounts preparation, balance sheet integrity, and audit coordination - ensuring the business is well-equipped for its next phase of growth. You will also play a key role in strengthening financial controls and ensuring reporting remains robust and reliable as the organisation scales.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Own the year-end close, ensuring all entries, journals, and reconciliations are completed accurately and in line with deadlines.
- Prepare statutory accounts and supporting documentation to a high standard.
- Serve as the main liaison for audits, guiding external auditors through the process and managing all audit-related communication.
- Perform comprehensive balance sheet reconciliations, including handling FX considerations across multiple entities.
- Coordinate with internal teams to gather all necessary data, schedules, and evidence required for year-end and audit.
- Strengthen financial controls and support the continuous improvement of reporting processes.
Candidate Profile:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA etc.)
- Strong hands-on acumen – ability to work autonomously with direction.
