We are supporting an international manufacturing business with the appointment of an interim business partner with a particular focus on factory cost accounting. The role is based in Greater London with frequent travel to European operational sites as you will be partnering closely with Manufacturing and Operations leadership across the UK and Europe.
Responsibilities
- Lead cost accounting across multiple manufacturing sites, including standard costing and variance analysis
- Act as a trusted finance business partner to Manufacturing, Operations, Supply Chain, and Procurement
- Support month-end close and ensure accuracy of factory financials within ERP
- Provide cost insight and analysis to support pricing, investment, and operational decisions
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost reduction initiatives, with regular site engagement
Qualifications
- Proven background in manufacturing cost accounting within a multi-site environment
- Strong experience partnering with operational and manufacturing stakeholders
- Deep understanding of standard costing, inventory accounting, and cost drivers
- Hands-on, commercially minded, and comfortable in fast-paced, lean settings
- Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with strong ERP experience (SAP preferred)
