Our client, a high-growth, multi-site residential property and hospitality business, is seeking an experienced Interim Group Financial Controller to join its central finance team for the next 6-9 months. This role will play a key part in driving reporting improvements, leading a developing finance function, and supporting business leadership through a period of operational and strategic change. The role will be hybrid, based in their London office 3-4 days a week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee group financial reporting across a complex, multi-entity structure
- Drive improvements in financial controls, reporting disciplines, and audit readiness
- Support optimisation of finance systems, ensuring better integration and use
- Partner with senior leadership on compliance, tax, and year-end planning
- Provide hands-on leadership while maintaining a high-level view across finance, operations, and property teams
Candidate Profile:
- A qualified finance leader with strong technical accounting and compliance experience
- Background in property/ real estate is essential
- Strong understanding of VAT, consolidations, and multi-entity reporting
- Experienced people manager with a proven ability to lead underperforming teams through improvement
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, evolving environments with multiple stakeholders and deadlines
