Our client, a specialist engineering business based in Aberdeen, is looking for an Interim European Finance Director to strengthen the team. Reporting to the Global Finance & Accounting Director Geographies, the Director, Finance & Accounting for the Europe Region will lead all financial functions across the region, ensuring robust financial management and strategic business support.

This role encompasses leadership of accounting, month end close, transactional accounting (AR/AP/Payroll), budgeting and working capital management. The ideal candidate will provide commercial and operational finance insights, drive cost efficiencies, and uphold high standards of integrity. This assignment would need someone to be able to start asap and is required to support the business over the coming 6 months.

Key requirements:

• Experienced in long term contracts across either, engineering, industrials or manufacturing.
• Supporting the global business, but overseeing the European region
• FP&A and strategy focused background
• Lead and manage all finance activities within the region, including accounting, reporting, FP&A, budgeting, treasury, and risk management.
• Develop and implement financial strategies to support the region\’s business objectives.
• Provide commercial and operational finance insights, drive cost efficiencies
• On site in Aberdeen 3 days a week.
