An international growing business is seeking to appoint an experienced and hands-on Group Financial Controller to support the next phase of its expansion. This role will be based primarily from their Oxfordshire head office, with the expectation of being ideally on-site for the majority of the working week. This is a highly visible role, requiring a proactive, change-oriented Group Financial Controller who can lead from the front, strengthen financial controls, and bring structure and rigour to the finance function whilst working closely with stakeholders across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform wholesale review of financial balance sheet, across all entities
  • Develop a robust set of operational monthly finance processes
  • Work across the group to ensure effective internal controls are in place
  • Lead on annual audit process
  • Drive the finance systems improvement agenda
  • Improve processes, controls and ways of working, fitting for a dynamic fast-paced environment
  • Work cross-functionally to align finance with wider business priorities

Candidate Profile

  • Proven experience as a Financial Controller within a multi-entity, multi-currency group
  • Strong hands-on background in group consolidation and ERP systems
  • Solid operational finance and financial control experience, with a strong focus on controls
  • Experience operating in fast-paced, complex environments (e.g. consumer, retail, or similar)
  • Track record of using financial insight to influence commercial decisions
  • A confident, visible leader with high EQ, able to build, develop and unify teams
  • Structured, highly organised and solutions-focused
  • A proactive problem solver with the ability to challenge constructively and influence senior stakeholders
