Eton Bridge Partners is seeking a Group Head of Risk and Insurance to lead this function for a global logistics business. Reporting to the CFO, this role focuses on proactive risk and mitigation. This individual will identify and manage insurable risks, mitigate loss, and purchase and manage insurance and contractual risk transfer. Playing an influential role in guiding group companies on best practices in insurance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate procurement of local, specialty, and site policies through brokers, managing premium payments
- Assist with insurance policy marketing, presentations, and ensure policy terms are accurate
- Support the Risk Committee with risk identification and participate in enterprise risk management
- Manage their captive insurance
- Lead, motivate and develop your team of direct reports
Candidate Profile:
- 8+ years of experience in corporate insurance (ideally within a large logistics environment), or insurance brokerage (ideally with broad experience across marine, as well as exposure to property, casualty, and financial lines)
- Excellent communication skills with ability to communicate complex risk/insurance issues in a simple and understandable manner
- Prior team leadership experience would be incredibly beneficial
- Advanced knowledge of commercial insurance products and policy language
