Eton Bridge Partners is working exclusively with a PE backed facilities management company to appoint their FP&A Director. This role will report into the UK CFO and will be essential in helping build the finance function of the business and preparing it for a transaction/sale in the next couple of years. There is a hybrid nature to the role with offices in Coventry (2 days a week) and London (occasionally), so there will be travel between the two and to other site locations.
Key responsibilities:
- Ownership of financial reporting and management for UK, working closely with the Operational Finance Director and management accounts team.
- Collaborate with the management accounts team to ensure production of timely and reliable management information at month end, including variance analysis and reporting on contract performance.
- Lead the annual budget and regular re-forecasting process, including liaison with operations team to develop robust budgets, forecasts and associated action plans.
- Own the month end process, from flash reporting to Group reporting, ensuring quality financial analysis and commentary.
- Monitor budgets and forecasts against actuals, investigating and providing analysis of differences.
- Communicate results to CFO and CEO ensuring early warnings are provided regarding risks and opportunities.
- Work proactively with Group colleagues on financial matters, ensuring high levels of transparency.
- Support Group projects when required.
- Provide financial assurance when required of all major UK initiatives.
- Develop Power BI use across the business to enhance analysis and action across the business.
- Develop a concise financial KPI suite and incorporate into the wider UK Business scorecards.
- Drive improvements and maturity within the Idverde UK culture specifically regarding finance aspects and being a role model of behaviours and the local custodian of controls.
- Challenge the business to improve aged debt and accrued income management through regular review and reporting.
- Work with central Finance team and Ops Finance team to ensure Balance sheet accounts are clean and risks managed.
- Continuously review and propose improvements of finance processes.
- Develop talent within the UK Finance function.
- Ensure that all reasonable steps are taken to protect health, safety and welfare of yourself and all other fellow employees and any other person that you come into contact with at work.
- Undertake such other duties as reasonably requested of a similar responsibility level that may be allocated to the post, including deputising for the CFO when required.
