Eton Bridge Partners have been retained on a confidential search to appoint a Director of Corporate Finance for a large scale, infrastructure led, private equity owned business operating in a capital intensive and regulated environment. This role, reporting directly to the CFO, will lead corporate finance, funding strategy, capital structure optimisation, treasury and investor relations. The appointment is a critical hire within the finance leadership team, supporting a significant balance sheet transformation and positioning the organisation for its next phase of ownership and long term value creation. The business operates with a complex, highly levered capital structure and is undertaking a comprehensive review of its funding model, liquidity position and long term financing strategy. The successful candidate will play a central role in shaping and executing this agenda while building a best in class corporate finance capability.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead the development and execution of financial strategy, including capital structure optimisation, funding solutions and long term liquidity planning aligned to strategic objectives.
  • Own debt and equity funding activities, refinancing initiatives and stakeholder engagement with lenders, investors and credit rating agencies.
  • Oversee treasury operations, cash management, forecasting and financial risk management across the Group.
  • Support capital allocation decisions, investment appraisal and strategic financial analysis to drive value creation.
  • Lead financial input into M&A, restructuring or strategic transactions where required.
  • Build and develop a high performing corporate finance function, including organisational design, capability assessment and team development.
  • Partner closely with the CFO, Board and shareholders, providing insight and recommendations on financing strategy and balance sheet sustainability.
  • Contribute as a key member of the finance leadership team, supporting broader finance transformation and performance improvement initiatives.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • A broad corporate finance background spanning capital structure, funding, treasury and financial strategy within a business of comparable scale and complexity.
  • Experience operating within complex debt environments, ideally including structured or securitised financing arrangements and public debt markets.
  • Strong exposure to investor relations and engagement with credit rating agencies and external stakeholders.
  • Experience within capital intensive, infrastructure, regulated or similarly complex sectors is advantageous.
  • A track record of delivering change, building teams and improving finance capability within evolving organisations.
  • A strategic yet hands on leadership style, comfortable operating both at executive level and within detailed execution.
  • A relevant professional qualification such as ACA, CFA or equivalent.

Location: Hybrid working, London/South East England.
