Eton Bridge Partners have exclusively partnered with a PE-backed, multi-site B2B services business who are looking to appoint a Divisional Finance Director to lead its finance function in a complex, multi-site environment. This is a senior leadership role with broad responsibility including commercial, business partnering and reporting partnering closely with the Managing Director and the wider leadership team, and reporting into the Group CFO. The role offers significant scope to influence strategy, performance and transformation in a fast-moving, change-oriented business.
- Hold full ownership of the divisional P&L and balance sheet, with clear accountability for performance, returns and cash generation.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting and performance management, providing insight into drivers, risks and opportunities.
- Translate operational and commercial activity into clear, decision‑ready financial insight.
- Support growth initiatives through robust commercial analysis, pricing, investment appraisal and performance tracking.
- Partner closely with operations and commercial teams to improve margins, returns and decision quality.
- Lead and develop a divisional finance team capable of supporting a highly commercial agenda.
- Support future M&A activity.
Proven experience as a Finance Director or senior finance leader within an operationally complex, multi‑site business. Background in an adjacent sector such as infrastructure, environmental services, industrial services, logistics or other asset‑heavy B2B services environments. Demonstrable full ownership of P&L and balance sheet, with accountability for financial performance, cash generation and returns. Strong understanding of operational drivers and unit economics, with the ability to translate on‑the‑ground activity into clear financial insight. Hands-on, pragmatic finance leader with the credibility to operate as a true number two to the MD. Strong commercial mindset with the credibility to influence senior stakeholders and challenge constructively. Exposure to transformation initiatives, including systems change, automation or process improvement, is beneficial but not essential. Experience in a private equity‑backed environment is advantageous but not required.
