We are now on the lookout for a commercially driven Business Development Manager to lead pre-booked sales at Greenwood - one of Sport London's flagship venues.
Role Overview: The role of a Business Development Manager is all about driving revenue, building long-term client relationships and positioning Greenwood as a go-to destination for corporate events, sporting occasions and premium hospitality experiences. Working closely with Operations, Marketing and venue leadership, you will shape and deliver a high-impact sales strategy that fuels both growth and guest experience.

This is a Hybrid role, with flexibility for evenings/weekends around key events.

Key Responsibilities:
- Commercial Performance & Sales Growth: Deliver and exceed pre-booked sales and revenue targets. Create and execute a strategic venue sales & events plan. Drive corporate and consumer bookings across events, group dining, celebrations and Christmas. Build a strong forward pipeline around key calendar moments and sporting fixtures. Provide clear forecasting, conversion and performance reporting.
- Business Development & Client Relationships: Act as Greenwood's commercial lead and key contact for event sales. Proactively win new business while growing existing accounts. Network within corporate and sporting communities to build venue profile. Host show rounds, create compelling proposals and negotiate bookings. Deliver showcase events to engage agencies, bookers and corporate clients.
- Event Delivery & Guest Experience: Oversee event planning from enquiry to execution. Produce detailed event briefs and function sheets. Meet and host clients at key events, ensuring seamless delivery. Manage guest feedback and service recovery where required.
- Enquiries, Systems & Process: Lead on large/complex enquiries and drive conversion. Own CRM and reservations systems (Collins & OpenTable). Manage pipeline reporting, invoicing and event administration. Support table planning and yield management to maximise revenue.
- Leadership & Collaboration: Coach and support on-site sales teams where applicable. Work cross-functionally with Marketing and Operations. Share best practice across the wider Sport London & ETM sales teams. Act as a passionate brand ambassador for Greenwood.
Skills & Experience:
- Essential: Proven success in business development or event sales within hospitality or sport. Strong commercial acumen and track record of hitting revenue targets. Passion for sport and knowledge of the sporting events calendar. Confident presenter and relationship builder. Highly organised with strong CRM and reporting capability.
- Desirable: Experience with Collins, OpenTable or similar systems. Established corporate or sporting events network. Experience delivering showcase or networking events.
