The Group Accountant plays a crucial role in managing and consolidating the financial activities of a company's subsidiaries, ensuring the accuracy and consistency of the group's financial statements across the ETL Systems business. The role leads the compilation and consolidation of financial reports, conducting intercompany reconciliations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations and ensures a clear financial picture. The Group Accountant provides valuable insights and analysis to senior management/external parties, supporting budgeting and forecasting processes, and coordinates with external auditors/stakeholders during audits and due diligence activity. With a strong focus on financial analysis to support strategic decisions, the Group Accountant helps maintain the financial integrity and efficiency across the ETL Systems business, supporting with acquisition finance data and associated accounting requirements.

  • Consolidation of Financial Statements: Compile and present accurate consolidated financial statements for the group, ensuring compliance with IFRS and GAAP standards.
  • Intercompany Reconciliations: Conduct and manage intercompany reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting across all subsidiaries.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, providing insights and analysis to senior management.
  • Ensure all financial activities comply with internal controls, policies, and external regulatory requirements in the UK, US, and Canada.
  • Assist in the preparation of the group's budget and financial forecasts, monitoring performance against these benchmarks.
  • Audit Coordination: Liaise with external auditors during the annual audit process, providing necessary documentation and explanation.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial reporting.
  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with finance teams across subsidiaries to ensure alignment and consistency in financial practice.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks within the group, ensuring robust financial health.
  • Provide financial insights and support to strategic decision-making processes.

The ideal candidate will be a Chartered Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent) with a strong track record in group finance roles within UK-based businesses that operate across multiple global territories. They will bring hands-on experience in the manufacturing sector, demonstrating a deep understanding of the financial dynamics and operational complexities unique to manufacturing.

This hybrid role requires working on-site at least three days weekly from our Hereford or North London office. The remaining days can be worked remotely, supporting flexibility while maintaining strong team collaboration.
