Role Overview

Reporting to a Senior Software Engineer, your role will be vital in supporting the future development and expansion of the Embedded Software team. This is a hands‑on role where you can apply your knowledge of C/C++ programming to design, implement and test embedded software, from machine interfaces to human interfaces, across our extensive range of ETL products.

Key Accountabilities

  • Design, development and test of embedded software in C for Linux and PIC based Microcontrollers
  • Developing and debugging embedded systems using a wide range of communication protocols and peripherals
  • Supporting hardware and simulation in the loop testing, integration and validation activities
  • Collaborating with electronics, systems and mechanical engineers to deliver integrated solutions
  • Contribute to system architecture design as necessary
  • Supporting continuous improvement and delivery
  • Knowledge of embedded Linux and C/C++ build systems

Location

Hybrid working is available for this role. When on‑site, you will be working from our R&D office in Rickmansworth – you must be able to commute to Ground Floor, Trinity Court, Suite C, Church St, Rickmansworth WD3 1RT.
