Role Overview
The Cleaning Operator reports to the Facilities Manager and is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of ETL Systems’ Head Office facility. The position also includes site security duties, such as leading the site security close‑down process, when the Cleaning Supervisor is absent.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming.
- Maintain offices, restrooms and common areas to a high standard of cleanliness.
- Handle cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and efficiently.
- Report maintenance or repair needs to the Facilities Manager.
- Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Qualifications & Desired Attributes
- Previous experience in a commercial cleaning environment is beneficial but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to thorough cleaning.
- Reliability and punctuality – dependable and with a strong work ethic.
- Flexibility to work part‑time hours, including early mornings or evenings, as needed.
- Team player who works collaboratively with other team members.
- BPSS compliance is required.
Training
Training will be provided to equip you with the necessary skills to succeed in this role.
Location
On‑site at Coldwell Radio Station, Madley, Herefordshire, HR2 9NE (outside Hereford). Applicants must be able to commute to this location.
