Housekeeping/Laundry Assistant Housekeeping – Etive House Care Home Contract: Full Time and Part- Time Salary: £11.44 Per Hour Shift Type: Dayshift Contracted hours: 16-40 Located in the beautiful village of Benderloch by Oban, we offer small group living accommodation for up to 62-residents. We\’re looking for a meticulous Housekeeping/Laundry Assistant to ensure our care home stays hygienic and welcoming, while also managing laundry services. Your work will ensure that the care home remains a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. You’ll enjoy being part of a supportive team where your attention to detail and dedication are highly valued. Key Responsibilities • Domestic Cleaning: Provide thorough cleaning services throughout the care home, adhering to company policies and best practices. • Hygiene Practices: Implement all hygienic work practices to ensure a safe and sanitary environment. • Floor Care: Clean and protect various floor surfaces, including carpets and hard floors. • Furniture and Fixtures: Maintain cleanliness of furniture, furnishings, fixtures, and fittings. • Sanitary Maintenance: Clean and replenish sanitary fixtures and fittings to keep them hygienic. • Waste Management: Remove refuse regularly and ensure proper disposal. • Vertical Surfaces: Clean vertical surfaces safely without using access equipment. • Resident Support: Assist with the daily well-being of residents, helping them adapt to their new environment. • Laundry Services: Manage laundry efficiently, following guidance and ensuring personal belongings are safe and correctly labelled. • Health and Safety Compliance: Adhere to health and safety protocols, infection prevention measures, and fire safety regulations within the laundry and care home. • Safe Operating Systems: Ensure safe operating systems are in place and follow them meticulously. • Team Collaboration: Work with other staff to ensure effective laundry services and overall cleanliness.
