A London-based performance apparel brand is hiring a Production Lead to take full ownership of production as the business scales.

Up until now, production has been spread across the team. That may have worked when things were smaller, but it doesn’t work anymore. The supplier base has grown. The product range is expanding. There are more launches, more moving parts, more complexity.

The focus of the role

  • Take full responsibility for production end-to-end
  • Bring structure and control to a function that’s grown quickly
  • Manage supplier timelines, delivery and quality across the board
  • Make sure product lands on time and to standard
  • Act as the central point across product, suppliers and logistics

What you’ll be doing day to day

  • Managing production from bulk sign-off through to warehouse intake
  • Working directly with factories to track progress and manage timelines
  • Owning the critical path and keeping everything on track
  • Coordinating quality control and resolving issues early
  • Managing delivery schedules and shipment planning
  • Working with internal teams across product, warehouse and finance
  • Handling delays, risks and production issues before they escalate
  • Helping build a more structured production process as the business grows

Why this role stands out

  • You’ll own production properly, not just part of it
  • You’ll sit at the centre of the product operation
  • The business is growing, so this role has real impact
  • You’re not inheriting a perfect system - you’re shaping it
  • It’s a small, agile environment where good operators stand out quickly

What they’re looking for

  • Strong experience in production within apparel, sportswear or activewear
  • Someone who has genuinely owned production, not just supported it
  • Experience managing multiple suppliers and complex timelines
  • Solid understanding of quality control and factory processes
  • Commercial awareness - understanding what delays and issues actually cost
  • Organised, direct and able to stay calm under pressure
  • Someone who takes responsibility rather than passing problems on

What will make you good in this role

  • You spot problems early and deal with them quickly
  • You’re comfortable dealing directly with suppliers and factories
  • You understand production as a commercial function, not admin
  • You can manage detail without losing the bigger picture
  • You like ownership

The reality

This is a growing brand, not a fully built-out operation. That means:

  • Processes are still evolving
  • There can be more hands-on work
  • You’ll need to take initiative

The upside is simple - you get to make a real impact and have real ownership.
