This is a hands-on role with strategic reach: you’ll be responsible for building and refining LMS setups that are both technically sound and educationally effective.
You will:
- Lead the configuration and optimisation of our LMS platforms - managing learning paths, content structure, user roles, branding, and permissions to meet real project needs.
- Translate learning requirements into scalable LMS workflows that support quality delivery and learner outcomes.
- Balance off-the-shelf capabilities with customisations and reusable elements to deliver solutions that are practical, maintainable, and fit-for-purpose.
- Take responsibility for the quality and consistency of learning content published on the platform - working with internal teams and subject matter experts to define, implement, and uphold content and accessibility standards.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure LMS solutions are robust, integrated, and aligned with our wider platform ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:
- Configure and maintain LMS platforms - including user roles, permissions, learning paths, and branding - to meet specific project or programme needs.
- Translate business and learning requirements into practical LMS setup and workflows.
- Liaise with external LMS vendors to support enhancements, resolve issues, and align product capabilities with programme objectives.
- Use your expertise to assess when to buy, build, or tailor LMS features - balancing speed, cost, and scalability.
- Provide hands-on support for day-to-day administration, including provisioning users, resolving escalated queries, and maintaining data hygiene.
- Develop documentation and guidance to enable effective use and consistent platform adoption across delivery teams.
- Ensure the quality, consistency, and accessibility of published learning content by defining and enforcing content standards, supporting stakeholders with implementation, and reviewing outputs to maintain high delivery standards.
- Support successful implementation and adoption of the LMS by working closely with delivery teams, providing hands-on guidance, training, and troubleshooting to embed the platform effectively across programmes.
What You’ll Bring:
- Hands-on technical expertise with Learning Management Systems, including deep experience configuring, optimising, and supporting LMS platforms in live environments.
- Strong understanding of learning design principles and how to translate educational goals into effective, scalable LMS configurations.
- Proven ability to engage confidently with diverse stakeholders, from technical teams and vendors to programme managers and end users.
- Sharp judgment to know when to buy, build, or tailor LMS capabilities, balancing business needs, technical feasibility, and resource constraints.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a focus on delivering practical, user-centred solutions.
- Excellent communication skills, able to produce clear documentation, provide user guidance, and support adoption across multiple teams.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where priorities shift and hands-on adaptability is essential.
