That\’s where this role comes in.We\’re looking for a Project Administrator to support the delivery of one of our flagship programmes, the National Centre for Excellence in the Teaching of Mathematics (NCETM). It\’s a role for someone who genuinely enjoys keeping things running smoothly, spotting what\’s missing before it becomes a problem, and making sure people feel supported along the way.If you like variety, ownership, and being quietly essential to a team\’s success, this might be your thing.The role As Project Administrator, you\’ll provide high-quality administrative support across a range of activities, from recruitment and event coordination to finance processes, data validation, and stakeholder communication. You\’ll be trusted to manage competing priorities, handle sensitive information with care, and keep everything accurate, up to date, and on track.The NCETM is delivered on behalf of the Department for Education and works closely with Maths Hubs across England to improve maths teaching and leadership. That means what you do here actually matters, even on the days when it\’s spreadsheets and inboxes.What you\’ll be doing You\’ll be involved in a wide range of activity, including but not limited to:Delivering high-quality administration across multiple programmes, meeting deadlines and quality standardsCoordinating logistics for online and in-person events, including eligibility checks, invitations, and follow‐upManaging shared mailboxes and Freshdesk tickets, responding accurately and professionally within agreed SLAsSupporting recruitment processes and maintaining accurate recruitment dataValidating and reporting data in line with Maths Hubs network deadlines and GDPR requirementsProcessing project finance tasks, including POs and invoicesTracking accreditation and endorsement recordsCreating and distributing surveys, monitoring completion, and sharing resultsUploading and managing post‐event resources, including editing and publishing recordingsSupporting system development and testing, helping improve tools and processesOpening and supporting online events, including Zoom session managementWorking flexibly across the team, providing cover and support during busy periods or staff absenceHow you\’ll work We care a lot about how work gets done, not just that it gets done.You make every day count, delivering high-quality work with focus and ownershipYou use judgement, discretion, and consistency, even when things move quicklyYou communicate clearly and respectfully, building strong relationships across teams and partnersYou\’re flexible, supportive, and happy to pitch in when neededWhat success looks like In this role, success means:Events delivered seamlessly, with participants well supportedAccurate attendance and engagement data that supports reporting and certificationStrong working relationships across Etio, NCETM, and partner organisationsUp-to-date workflows, trackers, and documentationRisks and issues spotted early and escalated clearlyDeadlines met consistently, building confidence across stakeholdersSkills and experience At least 1 year\’s experience in business, data, or events administrationStrong academic or vocational backgroundExcellent organisation and attention to detailExperience managing competing priorities and deadlinesConfidence working independently without close supervisionAdvanced Office 365 skills, especially ExcelClear, professional written and verbal communicationDiscretion and professionalism when handling sensitive informationA proactive, problem‐solving mindsetBusiness administration qualification (Level 3 or above)Experience in project administrationExperience working with senior managers or leadersFamiliarity with MS Teams and SharePointExperience within the UK education sectorWhy Etio?
