What you will do
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance, routine inspections and reactive maintenance on plant, utilities, facilities systems and associated equipment.
- Attend breakdowns promptly, diagnose faults and resolve issues effectively to minimise downtime.
- Support investigations into plant, equipment and utility failures, helping to identify root causes and actions to prevent recurrence.
- Read and interpret technical manuals, drawings, maintenance instructions and engineering documentation.
- Complete repairs, adjustments, replacements and testing of mechanical and electrical plant equipment where competent to do so.
- Ensure all maintenance activities are completed safely, accurately and in accordance with GMP, SOPs, risk assessments and site procedures.
- Complete maintenance records, engineering logs and documentation accurately and in line with data integrity requirements.
- Escalate incidents, deviations, defects, hazards and compliance concerns to line management promptly.

You will be a practical and reliable Plant Technician with a strong focus on safety, quality, and equipment performance. With good problem‑solving skills and attention to detail, you will help ensure plant operations run efficiently and effectively.
Basic skills and qualifications
- Educated to A Level, City & Guilds Level 2, BTEC, NVQ or equivalent.
- GCSE English and Maths at grade A-C / 4-9 or equivalent.
- City & Guilds, BTEC, NVQ or UK‑recognised equivalent in an engineering discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in an engineering, maintenance, plant, utilities or manufacturing environment.
- Experience carrying out planned and reactive maintenance activities.
- Experience diagnosing faults and supporting repairs on plant or production-related equipment.
