Location: Romford

Contract Type: Full‑time, permanent

Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm

What you will do

  • Provide high‑quality, customer‑focused support across the full employee lifecycle, ensuring smooth, efficient, and compliant HR operations.
  • Act as the first point of contact for the HR team, providing a friendly, professional, and helpful service to employees and supporting a positive employee experience.
  • Manage the HRUK and recruitment inboxes, responding to routine queries promptly, ensuring recruitment‑related communications are actioned in a timely manner, and escalating complex or sensitive matters appropriately.
  • Maintain a visible HR presence on site, building strong relationships and delivering a responsive service to operational teams.
  • Coordinate and support the onboarding process for new employees, acting as the main contact during the onboarding period and ensuring new starters are informed, engaged, and prepared from day one.
  • Ensure timely coordination of onboarding documentation, systems access, and other new starter requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date employee records in the HRIS, ensuring data integrity and compliance with GDPR and data protection requirements at all times.
  • Provide comprehensive administrative support across the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, contractual changes, benefits administration, and off‑boarding.
  • Prepare employment contracts, offer letters, contractual change letters, and other HR documentation accurately and in a timely manner.

About you

We are seeking a candidate who is a well-organised and approachable HR professional with strong attention to detail and a proactive approach. Confident handling a varied workload, you will build positive relationships while maintaining confidentiality and providing reliable HR support.

Basic skills and qualifications

  • Educated to A-Level or equivalent standard
  • At least 1 year of previous experience in an administrative role within HR
  • Understanding of basic employment law and HR best practices
  • Strong data entry, record‑keeping and administrative skills, with a focus on accuracy and data integrity
  • Competent user of MS Office and HR systems (HRIS/ATS)
  • Experience supporting recruitment and onboarding activity
