We are recruiting a Warehouse Operator who will be based at our Brentwood site. Working as part of a busy warehouse team, you will be responsible for all stock movements (incoming and outgoing). Ensuring that all products are reliably tracked, stored and shipped in accordance to Good Distribution Practices and Company operating procedures. Ensuring the accuracy of stock control and meeting department targets.

Day-to-day responsibilities:

  • Loading and unloading of delivery vehicles
  • Checking for damaged or missing items for onward storage in the warehouse
  • Keeping an accurate record of the stock on the ERP system (SAP)
  • Operating a forklift truck to move and rearrange stock and ensure that products are stored safely
  • Picking orders using a hand-held scanner and prepare for packing and onward distribution
  • Maintain good knowledge of relevant governance, SOPs and ways of working

Due to the nature of the environment candidates must be able to stand for extended periods of time. Manual handling is required.

About you:

Our ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cGMP and experience in the pharmaceutical or a similar regulated industry. They should possess technical expertise in operating and maintaining equipment and machinery, along with excellent time management skills to ensure stock dispatch targets are met efficiently.

Basic qualifications and skills:

  • Educated to GCSE (or equivalent) level
  • Minimum of 1 year working within a warehouse environment
  • Experience of using a forklift truck in last 12 months
  • Experience of using an ERP system such as SAP
  • Strong numeracy and literacy skills
  • Good working knowledge of GDP and GMP is desirable

The ideal candidate should be methodical, adaptable, reliable, and a positive team player, with a strong technical mindset and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • £25,000 per annum
  • 25 days annual leave, plus bank holidays with an opportunity to buy or sell up to an additional 5 days
  • Holidays rising to 30 days with length of service
  • Eligible to participate in the Company’s Business bonus scheme with a potential earning of 3% of salary

Working hours information:

37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 8am - 4pm, 6 months FTC.
