Location: Halifax
Shift Pattern: Permanent 4 on over 7 (Tuesday – Friday)
Pay: £19 – £22 per hour (Depending on Experience)
We’re looking for a Level 3 qualified Bus Mechanic to join our client's dedicated team in Halifax, supporting a fleet that keeps our local community moving. With a stable shift pattern (Tuesday to Friday) and opportunities for growth, this is a great role for someone who takes pride in their craft and wants to be part of a reliable, hard-working team.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Carrying out routine servicing, inspections, and mechanical repairs on a fleet of local service buses
- Diagnosing faults and ensuring vehicles meet DVSA and safety standards
- Keeping detailed maintenance and service records
- Working closely with other workshop staff to ensure minimal downtime of vehicles
What We’re Looking For:
- Level 3 NVQ or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance – Essential
- PCV Licence – Desirable (training can be provided for the right candidate)
- Previous experience working on buses or commercial vehicles
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities
- Reliable and able to work independently during shift hours
