Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out routine inspections, servicing, and mechanical repairs on public service vehicles (buses and coaches)
- Diagnose faults on mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems using modern diagnostic equipment
- Record maintenance and repair activities accurately using electronic tablets and fleet management systems
- Interpret and follow technical manuals and manufacturer guidelines
- Work independently and as part of a team to ensure fleet reliability
- Follow all workshop health and safety protocols
- Support the wider maintenance team and undertake additional tasks as required
Candidate Requirements:
- NVQ Level 2 or above in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent international qualification)
- Alternatively, 5+ years of relevant hands-on experience with PSV, PCV, HGV, or commercial vehicle maintenance
- Experience working in a public service or fleet maintenance environment preferred
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Proficiency with electronic systems and fleet software
- Reliable, safety-conscious, and capable of working independently
