Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out routine inspections, servicing, and mechanical repairs on public service vehicles (buses and coaches)
  • Diagnose faults on mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems using modern diagnostic equipment
  • Record maintenance and repair activities accurately using electronic tablets and fleet management systems
  • Interpret and follow technical manuals and manufacturer guidelines
  • Work independently and as part of a team to ensure fleet reliability
  • Follow all workshop health and safety protocols
  • Support the wider maintenance team and undertake additional tasks as required

Candidate Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 2 or above in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent international qualification)
  • Alternatively, 5+ years of relevant hands-on experience with PSV, PCV, HGV, or commercial vehicle maintenance
  • Experience working in a public service or fleet maintenance environment preferred
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
  • Proficiency with electronic systems and fleet software
  • Reliable, safety-conscious, and capable of working independently
