We are currently recruiting for a Workshop Technician to join our EthosEnergy Light Turbines team in Dyce, Aberdeen. This hands‑on role is responsible for the strip, inspection, and build of gas turbine equipment, including TB and SGT‑100 gas generators. The successful candidate will play a key part in ensuring high standards of safety, quality, and operational excellence, while supporting team development and driving continuous improvement initiatives within a collaborative workshop environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for strip and build of EELT portfolio of Gas Turbines
- Duty of Care in all HSE and Quality procedures
- Assisting with the on the job training of other team members
- Disassembly, assembly of TB, SGT-100 and SGT-100 gas generators and associated rotating equipment
- Comply with workshop procedures whilst ensuring all associated documentation is accurately completed.
- Ensure processes and actions are completed and communicated effectively to the Workshop Team Leaders
- Maintain highest standard of quality
- Responsibility for maintaining high levels of housekeeping
- Participate in business improvement initiatives driven through Lean tools and techniques
- Develop effective internal working relations within the ERO function this to include ERO Dyce, as well as relations with Field Service to meet customer requirements
Required Skills / Knowledge
- Competent in the use of all measuring equipment
- Focused on detail
- Numerical, literacy and administration skills
- Ability to interpret data and process it in a methodical manner
- Flexible, self‑motivated and high levels of initiative – ability to handle multiple tasks
- Candidates should be prepared to work independently on their own initiative and as part of a team involved in a culture of continuous improvement
- Interpersonal/communication Skills essential
Experience
- Product knowledge/technical understanding with gas turbine principle and overhaul programmes e.g. Siemens or other rotating equipment
Education Requirements
- Modern apprentice qualified in a mechanical discipline, which requires the following qualifications: NVQ levels two and three, or City & Guilds equivalent
Physical Requirements
- As required for workshop environment
- Candidate must be based within commutable distance of Aberdeen
