The predicted salary is between 45000 - 55000 £ per year.

Responsible for the safe and reliable operation and monitoring all RB211 and TB packages on a major client contract. Lead the preparation and execution of planned/unplanned maintenance interventions. Act as a subject matter expert providing ongoing technical support to rotating equipment engineers and site-based technicians. This position can be based out of Aberdeen or Lincoln, UK.

Job Responsibilities

  • Comply with EthosEnergy and client quality, safety and environmental management systems and procedures, ensuring that all accidents/incidents/near misses/hazards are immediately reported, and relevant paperwork is completed.
  • Assist in all troubleshooting activities and effectively communicate with site-based teams.
  • Lead planning and execution of routine maintenance, ensuring readiness for scheduled campaign maintenance (including availability of parts and consumables at site).
  • Manage upgrade projects to completion.
  • Support development, implementation and close out of management of change requests.
  • Act as hands-on focal point/specialist, coordinating/providing technical and fault-finding support.
  • Contribute/advising/coordinating frontline spares & critical spares holding.
  • Contribute/advising/coordinating frontline hand tooling & specialised tool holding.
  • Provide input into preparation of method statements and Workpack based on maintenance activities at site.
  • Contribute to client maintenance strategies to further develop and optimise maintenance planning.
  • Provide deep level of technical support in the development of complex manpower, purchasing and repair proposals.
  • Complete any of the clients required training to enable the individual to become PA trained.
  • Closely interface with other employees, contractors, and customer's personnel.

Required Skills / Knowledge

  • Ability to analyse package running data.
  • Provide adequate levels of support to site-based engineers during scheduled/unscheduled maintenance (day to day, yearly service; overhaul).
  • Ability to provide hands-on support and travel offshore in UK Waters (if required).
  • Provide reports on a regular basis to direct hierarchy about technical conditions, shutdown events, troubleshooting and improvement recommendations regarding unit operation and spare parts.
  • Review reliability and availability data and report any anomalies.
  • Participate and contribute to optimising short and long term maintenance plans.
  • Detailed Turbo Engine Experience in: RB 211 and TB5000 power generation packages including auxiliary systems.
  • Turbine controls; Allen Bradley platform 3rd party control logic for high speed rotating equipment, HMI control, Norbit control systems; an advantage.
  • Boroscopic Inspections.
  • Understanding vibration behaviour of rotating machines.
  • Knowledge of and ability to interpret technical drawings and P&IDs.
  • Experience working with CMMS / ERP databases and operational risk assessment tools.

Experience

  • Previous experience in a field service and/or operational support role.
  • Direct experience of Field service capacity in support of RB211 and/or TB 5000.

Education Requirements

  • Mechanical/Electrical/Electronic Degree or HNC/HND and relevant experience.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to travel offshore in the UK sector. This position can be based in Aberdeen or Lincoln UK.
