Ethos Talent are supporting a growing business with the recruitment of a Sales Operations Coordinator to join their team in Milton Keynes. This role offers hybrid and flexible working. This is a varied position sitting at the heart of the business, working closely with Sales, Operations, Finance and Technical teams to ensure customer orders move smoothly from initial acceptance through to delivery and billing.

You’ll take ownership of orders throughout the process, checking that information is accurate and complete, coordinating with internal teams and suppliers, and making sure completed services are billed correctly and on time. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Reviewing and validating customer orders before they progress through to delivery
  • Checking pricing, products, contract terms and billing information for accuracy
  • Managing orders from operational acceptance through to completion and billing
  • Coordinating with Sales, Operations, Finance, Customer Service, Technical teams and suppliers
  • Tracking order progress and proactively resolving delays or missing information
  • Supporting Sales with the creation and management of customer quotes
  • Ensuring completed services are passed across for invoicing accurately and promptly
  • Checking recurring and one-off charges, billing dates, credits and discounts
  • Identifying services or charges that have not been billed correctly
  • Reconciling supplier charges against active customer services and customer billing
  • Investigating billing discrepancies and supporting the recovery of missed revenue or supplier credits
  • Maintaining accurate records across internal systems
  • Identifying recurring issues and supporting improvements to processes, controls and data quality

This could suit someone coming from a sales operations, order management, billing, revenue assurance, finance administration or commercial support background. You’ll ideally have:

  • Strong attention to detail and confidence working with detailed commercial information
  • Experience managing orders, billing or customer/service records
  • Good Excel skills and confidence working across multiple systems
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage several priorities at once
  • The confidence to question incomplete or inaccurate information
  • A proactive approach to investigating and resolving discrepancies
  • Good commercial awareness and an understanding of how errors or delays can impact revenue
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work across different departments

Experience within telecommunications, connectivity, managed services or another recurring-revenue environment would be particularly useful, although this isn't essential. Previous experience with ConnectWise, CPQ software or similar CRM/order-management systems would also be advantageous. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys taking ownership, working across different areas of a business and making sure things happen accurately and on time.
