Responsibilities:
- Perform all maintenance and repair work thoroughly, safely, and in accordance with all service instructions.
- Label and return system items removed from customer premises as required by the office.
- Ensure all necessary equipment and service kits are available on the works van and coordinate additional supplies with the office.
- Maintain a professional relationship with customers and their staff, acting as a representative of the business.
- Complete all paperwork, whether in hard copy or via tablet/iPad, and submit to the office on time.
- Report all call‑outs to the office promptly.
- Maintain all work equipment.
- Observe all QHSE policies, procedures, and other instructions, and report concerns to the QHSE Compliance department.
Candidate Requirements:
- At least Level 3 qualification, ideally 17th Edition.
- Good knowledge of water‑mist fire suppression systems and the wider fire prevention sector.
- Experience in similar field engineer roles.
- Demonstrated technical competence and ability to pass manufacturer courses on the equipment to be maintained and repaired, or hold relevant technical qualifications.
- Ability to communicate directly with customers and maintain good relationships.
- Proficient in mobile technologies such as smartphones and tablets.
- Holds a relevant CSCS or related scheme competency card, or able to pass the CSCS Health & Safety Test.
