An opportunity has arisen for a skilled Crawler Crane Driver to join a reputable operation based in North Lincolnshire. This role would suit a reliable and safety-conscious Crawler Crane Driver looking to secure a long-term position within a professional site environment that values quality, teamwork and continuous improvement. The successful Crawler Crane Driver will play a key part in daily site activities, operating crawler cranes to support lifting operations safely and efficiently. You will work alongside lifting teams and site management to ensure all movements are completed accurately and in accordance with approved procedures and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate crawler cranes to lift and position heavy materials
- Carry out routine pre-use checks and daily inspections
- Liaise closely with slingers and signallers during lifting activities
- Follow all lifting plans, method statements and risk assessments
- Maintain full compliance with health and safety legislation
- Identify and report any mechanical issues or safety risks
- Undertake basic maintenance and adjustments when required
- Assist with wider site tasks during periods of non-operation
Experience & Requirements
- At least 5 years' proven experience operating crawler cranes
- A valid CPCS, NPORS or equivalent operator qualification
- Strong knowledge of load charts, lifting techniques and safe working limits
- A sound understanding of UK construction health and safety standards
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented approach
- The ability to work effectively under pressure in a busy site setting
