Job Title: Commercial Electrical Technician
Location: UK-Wide (Site-Based)
Contracted Hours: 40 Hours per Week
Travel: Regular UK Travel with often 4 Nights Away per Week Mon- Fri (2-3 Weeks at a Time with weekends at home)
There will be a requirement to work a Sat or Sun from time to time.
Reports to: Project Manager / Site Supervisor

Role Overview
The successful candidate will be a hands-on technician with experience in cable containment and/or pipefitting, and comfortable with frequent travel and working away from home.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation of electrical systems with a focus on cable containment (tray, basket, conduit, trunking).
- Support pipefitting and mechanical installation tasks as needed.
- Conduct fault finding, testing, and commissioning of electrical installations.
- Work closely with other trades and site teams to deliver high-quality work on time.
- Adhere to site health and safety protocols at all times.
- Operate access equipment safely and effectively (IPAF).
- Maintain tools, equipment, and materials to a professional standard.
- Complete job-related documentation and reports as required.
Requirements
Essential:
- Electrically biased, with proven on-site construction experience.
- Background in cable containment and/or pipefitting.
- Valid IPAF Card. (if out of date client is happy to renew)
- Flexibility to work away from home for extended periods (4 nights per week).
- Full UK driving licence.
- ECS Gold Card, also known as a JIB Gold Card.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Desirable
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Electrical Installation or similar qualification.
- Experience working on commercial or industrial projects.
