Venatu Recruitment are proud to announce that a new client in the Fire Protection industry is looking for a Fire Sprinkler Design Engineer to join them as soon as possible. The company offers several Fire Protection & Sprinkler services including design, fabrication, installation and commissioning for residential, commercial and industrial applications. They have been trading for almost 40 years with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality service.

This is a full-time role paying £70k + Company Car.

Job Duties

  • Ensure clients/insurers requirements are adhered to at all times.
  • Work closely with the project team to ensure designs are completed on time and to the technical submissions standard.
  • Be involved in drawing and calculations to ensure compliance within the relevant fire sprinkler system standards.
  • Comply with relevant documents to tender works from a client’s initial inquiry.
  • Carry out site surveys prior to design and collate the required information.
  • Complete ISO-9001 paperwork relating to projects.

The Type Of Candidate They’re Looking For

  • LPCB Basic - mandatory
  • LPCB intermediate or LPCB FHC - not essential but would be an advantage
  • Auto CAD 2D (essential)
  • Experience of carrying out site surveys, attending client meetings and site installations
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience within Sprinkler Industry
  • CSCS Card desirable but not essential
  • Customer care/relationship building skills
  • Able to work as a member of a team
  • Able to work without direct supervision
  • Able to conduct surveys on site
  • Able to deal directly with customers in a professional manner and represent the company
  • UK driving license; this position is primarily office based but with travel being a significant part of completing the role.
