We are a leading electrical and mechanical building services engineering consultancy based in Dublin, delivering complex, high-value projects across the EMEA region. As we continue to expand our BIM capabilities, Ethos Engineering is seeking a BIM Project Manager to join our BIM Studio team and lead BIM delivery across a portfolio of complex and high‑profile projects. This role plays a critical part in driving digital coordination, ensuring that models, workflows, and deliverables are executed to the highest standards in line with both Ethos and client expectations. You will act as the key interface between the BIM team, engineering disciplines, and external stakeholders, ensuring seamless collaboration, maintaining quality, and delivering BIM outputs in line with project programmes.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience in BIM delivery within MEP consultancy.
  • Proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, and common BIM collaboration platforms (e.g. ACC).
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong understanding of BIM standards, coordination processes, and QA workflows.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage resources, priorities, and deadlines effectively.

Desirable

  • Experience working within a structured BIM department.
  • Knowledge of ISO 19650 or similar information management standards.
  • Leadership or team management experience within BIM environments.
  • Pragmatic, delivery focused, and outcome driven.
  • Credible communicator with technical and senior leadership audiences.
  • Comfortable operating with authority and responsibility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project & Team Management
    • Manage BIM resources across multiple active projects.
    • Oversee BIM delivery to ensure alignment with project programmes and milestones.
    • Monitor project progress, risks, and resource allocation.
    • Provide regular BIM status reports to Engineering Management.
    • Support forward planning by identifying upcoming resource requirements.
  • Standards & Delivery Oversight
    • Ensure all projects comply with internal BIM standards and QA processes.
    • Guide BIM Project Leads in implementing both company and client-specific BIM requirements.
    • Maintain consistency in modelling, coordination, and data management across projects.
  • Stakeholder & Client Interface
    • Act as the primary BIM point of contact for design teams and external stakeholders.
    • Attend design team and coordination meetings representing BIM.
    • Manage client expectations regarding BIM deliverables and timelines.
    • Collaborate closely with Engineering Leads and Project Managers.
  • Coordination & Technical Support
    • Provide high-level technical support across BIM tools (e.g. Revit, Navisworks, ACC).
    • Support coordination strategies and issue resolution at project level.
    • Work with Engineering Leads to develop and manage the Document Issue Register.

Key Objectives

  • Ensure timely and high-quality BIM deliverables across all assigned projects.
  • Maintain clear separation between BIM responsibilities and engineering design ownership.
  • Drive efficient coordination workflows and minimise rework.
  • Support scalable and predictable BIM resource planning.

Authority & Decision Making

  • Responsible for BIM delivery performance across projects.
  • Influences BIM-related project decisions and workflows.
  • Escalates technical or resource issues to the BIM Manager where required.
  • Chair Internal BIM Meetings between Internal Engineering Team and Internal BIM Team.

What This Role Does NOT Include

  • Detailed modelling production (except where necessary).
  • Responsibility for engineering design decisions or calculations.
  • Overriding engineering design authority.
  • Commercial contract management or fee negotiations (unless delegated).
  • Acting as the Engineering Project Manager.
