Speech and Language Teaching Assistant – Ealing
A primary school in Ealing is looking for a Speech and Language Teaching Assistant to provide targeted support for pupils with speech, language and communication needs.
You will work with children individually and in small groups, helping them develop their communication, vocabulary, understanding and confidence. This may include delivering structured speech and language activities and interventions based on programmes provided by the school or Speech and Language Therapy (SALT) professionals.
Alongside targeted interventions, you will support pupils within the classroom, helping them understand instructions, communicate their needs and access learning more independently.
The school would particularly like to hear from Teaching Assistants who have previous experience supporting children with speech, language and communication needs (SLCN), SEND or delivering targeted interventions. Experience following SALT programmes would be highly beneficial.
You’ll need to be patient, encouraging and confident adapting communication to meet individual pupils' needs.
