We are looking for an Outdoor Lead or Forest School Teacher to join the team at this vibrant nursery in Peckham. This is a permanent and full-time position for a passionate and energetic individual to join a wonderful team and make a difference to children's lives! As an Outdoor Nursery Lead, you will be inspiring children to develop a love of the outdoors and nature from a young age. ‘Outdoorsy’ is one of the core values at this nursery, with a safe outdoor space that allows free flow as well as an Urban Nature Trail (the nursery's version of Forest School). This nursery really wants every child to spend as much time outdoors as possible.
Responsibilities:
- Overseeing the running of outdoor activities and sessions, including the Urban Nature Trail
- Observing and assessing children's progress and development
- Leading and supporting a team, working collaboratively with them
- Planning and delivering stimulating and exciting activities, following the EYFS framework
- Fostering and promoting a love of learning and of the outdoors
- Creating a safe and engaging learning environment
- Encouraging children's confidence and independence
Qualifications:
You must hold a relevant qualification (Level 2, 3 or T Level in Early Years/Childcare or EYTS or QTS), and previous experience working in a childcare environment is essential for this Outdoor Nursery Lead position.
