Responsibilities
- Planning and leading activities that will stimulate children's imagination and creativity
- Encouraging development through age-appropriate interactive play
- Supporting children's personal, social and emotional development from a young age
- Helping children to develop positive relationships and form/build on their social skills
- Assisting with early reading and early maths skills development, following the EYFS curriculum closely
- Carrying out observations and assessing key children's development
Requirements
- Previous experience working with children under 5 within a nursery or childcare setting and a Level 2 or 3 qualification in Early Years or Childcare is essential for this Early Years Practitioner position.
- A good understanding of the EYFS curriculum and a good attitude and passion for working in Early Years is very important.
