A bright and welcoming nursery in Enfield is currently seeking a passionate and committed Early Years Practitioner to join the friendly and hardworking team of staff. Previous experience working with children under 5 in a nursery or childcare setting would be ideal, and a Level 3 qualification in Early Years or Childcare is essential for this role. As an Early Years Practitioner, you are playing a key part in preparing young children for their future, and it is important to have a real passion for supporting their growth and development in their most formative years. Strong knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and children's learning and development is desirable too.
Responsibilities
- Planning and delivering play-based learning activities and exploration
- Supporting and assisting with early reading, vocabulary, literacy and communication development
- Providing a stimulating, supportive and safe environment that allows children to grow and learn
- Assisting with the development of early maths skills
- Ensuring safeguarding procedures are followed and supporting the nursery management team
- Carrying out observations and assessing key children's progress and development
